My thoughts are still with my soldiers. My 19 year old just graduated MP training and is headed to my home state of NC to begin the unenviable task of policing Marines! His young wife is due in three months with my 1st grandchild! And we know it's a boy. I've been studying up on the wildlife on the Carolina coast. We'll be there soon! My 21 year old is coming home from Germany tomorrow. The Army authorized leave for 10 days because he deploys to Afghanistan in June with all those other soldiers from all around the country. Remember Moms (and Dads) - that soldier standing next to your boy is my son and he will do everything he can to protect some of the best buddies he's ever known. God bless them all.
OK, so needless to say I won't be painting this weekend. I did lose some sleep last night over my entry for The FSU Museum of Fine Arts Summer Show. The deadline is soon and this is an important show for Tallahassee. After much tossing and turning I settled on a little blue heron in the marsh. Check back in a couple of weeks for that one!
